John Lennon came to me in a dream last night.
It was nice of him to take time out from heaven.
He told me he and George were doing all right,
Playing songs with Elvis, man that's really livin'!
Then he asked why no one listened to his words,
And imagined how the world could be.
He said; "all you need is love" wasn't just a crazy verse,
But a truth to live by, meant for you and me.
And he said,

Then John sat down with me and sang a song,
He sang about a world that had no fear,
And George and Elvis came to sing along,
And the meaning of the moment was so clear.
And I saw the people following his voice,
Singing songs of love and peace in harmony,
And across the universe everybody made a choice,
Knowing LOVE'S THE ONLY THING that can set you free.
And they sang,
